Ingredients For pecan lace cookies

  • 2/3 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    corn syrup
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    grated orange rind'[
  • 1 c
    pecans finely chopped
  • 2/3 c
    cake flour

How To Make pecan lace cookies

    In saucepan on medium heat add butter and when melted add the sugar ,syrup and salt and stir until sugar is dissolved about 7 minutes. Remove from heat and add the orange zest, flour and pecans and mix until well combined...cover bowl and refrigerate about 2 hours.

    Heat oven to 350F line the cookie sheet with parchment paper..roll the dough into small balls about the size of a large grape..place on sheed about 2 inches apart and bake for 9 to 10 minutes...these spread out so better to experiment with the size of balls you make and how far apart..remove from oven and let cool on pan for 10 minutes..these are very crispy but ooooh so yummy..better to experiment when baking the first batch so you can decide on how big to make the balls of dough and how far apart to place them on the cookie sheet. store in cool place.
