Ingredients For pecan butter balls

  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 lb
    butter, room temperature
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    pecans, in pieces
  • confectioners' sugar

How To Make pecan butter balls

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    Cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy beat in vanilla, add flour and salt blend into soft dough stir in pecans.

    Shape into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 25 min. Until cookies are firm and light brown on the bottom. Remove from cookie sheet and roll in confectioner's sugar. Cool and store in airtight container. You may roll twice in confectioner's sugar.
