1 cshortening

1 csugar

1 cpacked brown sugar

2/3 cpeanut butter

2 lgeggs

1/3 cwater

1 tspvanilla extract

2 call purpose flour

1 1/2 cquick cooking oats

1 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt
- ICING
-
1/3 cbutter, softened
-
2/3 cpeanut butter
-
2 cconfectioners' sugar

1/3 cmilk
How To Make peanut butter squares

1In a large mixing bowl, cream sugars, shortening and peanut butter.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Add water and vanilla; mix well.

4Combine the dry ingredients and then mix wet and dry ingredients until combined.

5Pour into a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1in. baking pan.

6Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

7In a small mixing bowl, beat the icing ingredients until smooth. Pour over warm bars. Cool.
