I make these cookies for my Grand Children. The original recipe came from Taste Of Home Recipe Book. I adapted it to suit my needs. You can adapt this recipe for other occasions also. They are so easy & very delicious.

Ingredients For peanut butter christmas mice

1 ccreamy peanut butter
-
1/2 cbutter, softened
-
1/2 csugar
-
1/2 cpacked brown sugar
-
1egg
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1 - 1/2 call purpose flour
-
1/2 tspbaking soda
-
peanut halves
-
green & red m & m's miniature baking bits
-
miniature semisweet chocolate chips
-
cake decorator holly leaves & berry candies
-
red twizzlers candy ( the kind you can peel into stripes.)
How To Make peanut butter christmas mice

1In a large bowl, cream the peanut butter, butter, sugar & brown sugar. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Combine the flour & baking soda,gradually add to the creamed mixture. ( Dough will be soft.) Refrigerate for 1 hour or until easy to handle.

2Roll into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Pinch each ball at one end to taper. Insert two peanut halves in the center of each ball for ears. Add one M&M baking bit for nose & two chocolate chips for eyes. Arrange holly & and berry candies in front of ear.

3Bake at 350* for 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Gently insert 1 licorice piece into each warm cookie for tail. Let cool completely.
