My husband loves peanut butter cookies. I am not as much a fan, but I do like PB&J. This recipe brought our likes together.

Ingredients For peanut butter and jelly bars

  • 1 pkg
    (18 oz) roll refrigerated peanut butter cookie dough
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter chips
  • 1/4 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 1 pkg
    (16 oz) creamy vanilla ready-to-spread frosting
  • 1/4 c
    strawberry jelly or seedless raspberry jam

How To Make peanut butter and jelly bars

    Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray.

    Break up cookie dough in to pan; press evenly in pan. Press chips evenly into dough. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.

    In a medium bowl stir peanut better until smooth. Stir in frosting until well blended. Spread over cooled bars. In small bowl, stir jelly until smooth. Drop jelly by teaspoonfuls over frosting. With tip of knife, swirl jelly for a marbled design.
