Ingredients For old fashioned tea cakes

  • 1 c
    shortening
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 4
    eggs
  • 4 c
    self rising flour
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make old fashioned tea cakes

    No Milk, No Liquid. Mix all ingredients together except the flour.

    Gradually add the flour 1 cup at a time. When completely mixed, roll into a ball

    Roll out and cut with large cookie cutters. Add small amount of flour to surface, use dough roller to roll out dough.

    Bake at 375 oven until slightly brown around the outer edges. Let cool on flat surface.
