1/2 cshortening

1/2 cbrown sugar

1/2 csugar

1egg

2 cflour
-
2 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspbaking soda

1 ccrushed pineapple , drained, reserve 3 tablespoons juice for icing

2/3 cchopped walnuts

1/4 tspsalt

1 tspvanilla
- ICING:

1 1/2 cpowdered sugar

3 Tbsppineapple juice

1Preheat oven to 350. Cream shortening and sugars together. Add egg and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix well Add drained pineapple and mix well. Add nuts and flavoring, mix well. Drop by spoonful onto greased baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

2Cool cookies on wire racks. Mix powdered sugar and reserved pineapple juice to make icing. Drizzle icing on cooled cookies.
