These are very delicate cookies , similar to a lace cookie.. Use only real butter and be sure to pack the dough tight so they don't crumble. Spacing is also important. Letting them cool on cookie sheet is a must. Now after saying all that , they are really very easy to make and they are scrumpdidlelylisch.

Ingredients For oatmeal crisps

  • 2 c
    regular rolled oats
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, not packed
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 lg
    egg,beaten

How To Make oatmeal crisps

  • 1
    Heat oven to 350^. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. set aside.

    Mix the oats, sugar, and baking powder together.

    Add butter to the mixture, then stir in the beaten egg.

    Using a teaspoon measure, pack mixture in well. Place 3 inches apart on parchment paper(they spread).

    Bake 10-12 minutes. Let cool on pan at least 5 minutes and remove from cookie sheet to crisp up more. .Place in air tight box.
