I like these cookies because they are rolled in a mocha cinnamon sugar mixture. However, if you are not a fan of coffee you can just omit it and use regular cinnamon sugar instead.

1 cplus 6 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 1/4 tspbaking powder

1 tspcinnamon

5 Tbspbutter or margarine

1 cbrown sugar, packed

2eggs
-
1 tspvanilla

3squares unsweetened chocolate, melted

1/4 cgranulated sugar

1/2 tspcinnamon
-
1/2to 1 tsp instant coffee (optional)
How To Make new mexican chocolate crinkles

1Combine flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, beat the brown sugar and butter together until creamy. Beat in the eggs and blend.

2Add vanilla and chocolate. Mix evenly. Gradually add the flour mixture to the chocolate mixture. Form into a soft dough.

3Chill until the dough can be handled. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in remaining sugar, cinnamon, and coffee.

4Place cookies on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool cookies for a minute on sheet before transferring to a rack to cool.
