I would wake up in the morning sometimes as a little girl to my Grandmother making gingersnaps. what better small is there in the kitchen. I miss my Grandmother so.

1 cpacked brown sugar

3/4 ccrisco shortening

1/4 cmolasses

1egg

2 1/4 call purpose flour

2 tspbaking soda

1 tspground cinnamon

1 tspground ginger

1/2 tspground cloves

1/4 tspsalt
How To Make my grandma's best gingersnaps

1In a large bowl, combine the sugar, shortening,molasses, and egg and mix well. In a separtate bowl, combine dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture.

2Cover and chill for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured bread board and shape it into balls, dip the tops in sugar

3Place the balls on a greased baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
