When I was growing up, my dad would bake cookies and allow my sister and I to "help". I don't know where my dad got the recipe to begin with, but he tweaked it to perfection. These are the best peanut butter cookies we have ever eaten. Our entire family loves them. Hope you do too.

1 cbutter or shortening

1 csugar

1 cbrown sugar

2 tspreal vanilla

2beaten eggs

28 ozpeanut butter, creamy or crunchy

3 cflour

2 tspbaking soda

1 dashsalt
How To Make my dad's peanut butter cookies

1preheat oven to 375. Thoroughly cream butter, sugars, and vanilla. Stir in peanut butter.

2Sift together all dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture.

3Form into small balls and place on non-greased cookie sheet. Press with fork to make cross pattern.

4Bake at 375 for 9-10 minutes or to desired doness.

5NOTE: Dough may also be rolled and cut if desired.
