Mrs Newman was my landlady for 15 years and one day I was at work and we had a horrific snow storm. I was stuck over night at the Nursing home, where I was working. We could not leave for home and the afternoon and evening shift could not get in. I called my girls and they told me, Mr Newman was going to come for them, if I could not get home. She was a sweetie and kept the girls for 2 days. She kept them busy with this cookie recipe that I am sharing with you. There was no name just a piece of paper with the recipe, so the my girls called this Mrs Newman's cookies!
