I got this recipe from the mother of a little girl in my Brownie troop many years ago. They are the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever tried. I have kept her name on them to give credit where credit is due.

Ingredients For mrs. kasler's chocolate chip cookies

  • 1 1/3 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 3 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    walnuts, chopped
  • 1 pkg
    chocolate chips - 12 ounces

How To Make mrs. kasler's chocolate chip cookies

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    Beat butter until light and fluffy. Add sugars slowly, beating after each addition. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla.

    Combine flour and soda in a bowl and stir with a whisk to mix. Add to butter mixture and mix well. Add nuts and chocolate chips.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake about 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. Then cool completely on rack or on paper towels.
