This recipe was a favorite of my Grandmother. We looked forward to her making these cookies as they just melted in your mouth.

Ingredients For mrs. andersons filled cookies

1 cwhite sugar

1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1 cbutter or shortening

2eggs
-
1 cmilk
-
2 cflour
-
3 tspbaking powder

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspsalt

1 Tbspvanilla extract
How To Make mrs. andersons filled cookies

1Cream together white sugar,brown sugar and shortening or butter. Add eggs and mix well. Stir in 1 cup milk.

2Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt and add to the creamed mixture.

3Add vanilla extract and enough more flour to make a soft dough Refrigerate overnight. Roll out dough in portions to cut out circles with cookie cutter. Fill with Raisin filling. Top with another dough circle. Bake at 375 degrees 8-10 minutes

4Raisin filling 1lb raisins,1/2 c water, 1/2 cup white sugar,tsp vanilla and 1 tbls flour. Bring to boil and cool.
