These are from my friend Denise Thompson, who got the recipe from Pike Place Market, a Seattle restaurant. They are almost a meal in themselves, and I like to think they're "healthy!"

Ingredients For monster cookies

1 stickbutter, room temperature

1 cbrown sugar

1 csugar (splenda can replace this.)

3eggs
-
1 tspmaple syrup

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tspvanilla extract

1 tspbaking soda
-
1 cpeanut butter (i used creamy.)

1 csemi-sweet chocolate chips
-
1 cwalnuts

4 1/2 coats, quick cooking
How To Make monster cookies

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Mix all ingredients.

3With oiled hands, press balls of dough into patties and place on a greased cookie sheet.

4Cook for 15 minutes.

5Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes before moving to wire racks.

6Allow to completely cool on wire racks to avoid breakage.
