Ingredients For molasses oatmeal cookies

  • 1 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 1/2 c
    dark molasses
  • 1 1/2 c
    guick cooking oatmeal ( uncooked)
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    ginger
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 1 c
    walnuts chopped

How To Make molasses oatmeal cookies

    in a large bowl mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices.

    add remaining ingredients and mix well until well blended.

    to make jumbo cookies use a 1/4 cup of dough for each cookie.place on ungreased baking pan, bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.

    for snaller cookies, drop by heapin tsp and bake 10-12 min or until golden brown on top.

    this recipe will yield aabout 1 1/2 dozen jumbo cookies, or 4 doz small cookies.
