This is a recipe of Ma's that sounds so good, but I don't know what Rockwood Chocolate Mints are. So I would use andees mints instead.

Ingredients For mint surprise cookies, ma

  • 3 c
    sifted flour
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2
    unbeaten eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • rockwood chocolate mints (i would substitute andees mints since i have no idea what these are)
  • walnut halves, optional

How To Make mint surprise cookies, ma

  • 1
    Sift together flour soda and salt. Cream butter, gradually and both sugars. Cream well and add in eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients in gradually, mix well. Chill at least 2 hours. Enclose a piece of mint in rounded teaspoon of dough. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Top with a walnut half if desired. Bake at 375 degrees 9-12 min.
