  • BASE
  • 1/2 c
    sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    soda
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c
    rolled oats, uncooked
  • 1/3 c
    melted butter or margarine
  • TOPPING
  • 1/4 c
    sifted flour
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 3.4 c
    cut maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 c
    flaked or shredded coconut
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts

How To Make maraschino cherry bars, ma

  • 1
    Oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add brown sugar, oats and melted butter, mixing until combined. Press firmly into an uncreased 9" square pan. For topping, combine remaining ingredients thoroughly. Spread mixture over base. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 min. Cool, cut into bars.
