This is another cookie recipe that came from hubby's family. I have never been a big fan of M&M cookies, but these I will make an exception for! Like his peanut butter cookies, when he makes these for friends or church events, they are quick to disappear. Whenever there was a food event at church, all people wanted to know was if he baked and which ones were his, then the race was on to see if you could get one before they disappeared. LOL Enjoy!

Ingredients For m&m cookies

  • 1 c
    shortening
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    m&m's

How To Make m&m cookies

  • 1
    Cream shortening and sugars together. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Mix dry ingredients together in a seperate bowl. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Add 1 c. M&M's and mix again. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Use remaining M&M's to decorate top of cookies and flatten SLIGHTLY. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until turning golden brown.
