lemon-berry jammerz
(1 rating)
Listen y'all...these are one of the easiest desserts to make and for as much baking as I do, my family vows that these are by far one of the best! Just goes to show you, sometimes the easiest and least complicated thing is the tastiest! (and easier on our dish washing hands!) I used fresh and local blueberry preserves, but you could use something else if you wanted to...blueberry just matches so well! Just get it fresh and local!

How To Make lemon-berry jammerz
-
1Preheat oven to 350.
-
2Mix together flour, sugar, and softened butter in an electric mixer until "crumbled" together (and sticky).
-
3LIGHTLY spray a 9x13 pan with PAM and then press mixture down into pan. Cook for 20 or so minutes, until lightly golden brown around the edges.
-
4While crust cooks, combine preserves (I use LOCAL and FRESH preserves), 2-3 teaspoons of lemon juice, and a tsp or so of lemon peel.
-
5Once crust is done, spread preserve mixture over, sprinkle with some more lemon peel, and bake for 5 minutes more.
-
6Let bars cool completely (approx 1 hour). To make drizzle, use 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 3 teaspoons of lemon juice; stir and drizzle over.
