Ingredients For layered cream cheese bars

  • CRUST:
  • 1 1/2 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    butter, melted
  • FILLING:
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 3/4 c
    coconut flakes
  • 3/4 c
    nuts, chopped
  • 6 oz
    semi-sweet chocolate chips

How To Make layered cream cheese bars

    Preheat oven 350.
  • 2
    In a bowl add crumbs, sugar and butter; stir to mix. Press mixture into bottom of a greased 9x13 cake pan. Bake 5 minutes.

    Remove from oven; set aside to cool.

    Beat together cream cheese, sugar and egg. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly on top of the cooled crust. Sprinkle with coconut, nuts and chocolate chips evenly over the cream cheese mixture. Lightly pressing into the cream cheese mixture. Bake 25-30 minutes, or until light brown.

    Cool completely, then cut into bars or squares. Keep refrigerated.
