1 cbrown sugar, packed

1/2 cshortening

1/2 cbutter

1 tsppure vanilla extract

2 1/2 call-purpose flour

1 tspsoda

1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

2 cinstant oatmeal

1 pkgchocolate chips

1 cchopped pecans

1 cflaked coconut
How To Make kitchen sink cookies

1In a large bowl, cream together the sugars, butter, shortening, eggs and vanilla until fluffy and smooth.

2Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture; mixing well. Fold in oatmeal, chocolate chips, pecans and coconut.

3Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets, about 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
