It was the 60's and every year my mom made these for Christmas. They are good and yes a whole box of brown sugar! I would say that they taste like a blondie. I found the recipe recently just in time for the holidays. It's been over 32 years since I tasted one. I hope you enjoy them.

4eggs

1 box1 lb. or 2 cups light brown sugar

2 cflour
-
pinchsalt
-
1 tspcinnamon
-
1 tspvanilla extract

1 cchopped pecans
-
2 cpowered sugar

2-3 Tbspcream
How To Make jewish cookies

1Beat eggs, add sugar and cream well (personally, I did not use the whole box of brown sugar. I loosely filled 2 cups.)

2Add flour, salt, cinnamon to wet mixture and mix well.

3Add vanilla and pecans and mix. Pour into an 8" cookie sheet.

4Bake on 350 for 20-25 min. Until golden brown.

5While still hot cut into squares. Mix 2 cups of powered sugar with cream and pour over bars. Let dry and take out of pan.
