Jelly Centers/Thumb Prints or as my kids called them Jelly Ceeters!

Ingredients For jelly centers/thumb prints or jelly ceeters

  • 4 c
    sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 lb
    butter (preferrably keller's)
  • 4 lg
    egg yolks
  • favorite jam or jelly

How To Make jelly centers/thumb prints or jelly ceeters

    Cream together butter and brown sugar. Slowly add flour and egg yolk to mixture. Form Dough. Chill covered for one hour. Using tablespoon, scoup out dough and form into small ball. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place cookie ball on ungreased cookie pan. Place Thumb into center of ball and fill with your favorite jam or jelly. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 325 degrees. Jam or Jelly will slightly bubble and cookies will be lightly golden around edge. Remove from oven and let cool. The jam or jelly center is very hot do not taste until completely cooled. Enjoy
