Ingredients For italian "s" cookies
- COOKIES

1/2 cbutter, room temperature

1/2 csugar

2eggs

1/2 tsplemon extract

2 call-purpose flour

3 tspbaking powder
- GLAZE

1 1/2 cpowdered sugar

1 tsplemon extract

3 - 4 Tbspmilk
How To Make italian "s" cookies

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. To make the cookies, combine the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.

2Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

3Add the lemon extract.

4Combine flour and baking powder in a small bowl. Add to the butter mixture and mix well.

5Pinch about a 1 inch of dough and roll it between your hands into a 3-inch log. Shape into an S.

6Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 7 - 8 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

7To make the glaze, combine all the ingredients together in a medium bowl. Dip the top of the cookies into the glaze and let them dry on a rack.
