I love peanut butter bars but this recipe has a little something extra that enhances the peanut butter flavor even more, the icing! I got this recipe from a very sweet lady named Mary at my Mom's church. She brought these and they were gone instantly! **I didn't have enough chocolate chips so added about 1/4 cup of white chocolate chips and they came out REALLY tasty!**

Ingredients For iced peanut butter bars

1/2 cbutter or margarine softened

1/2 cbrown sugar, packed

1/2 csugar

1/2 ccreamy peanut butter

1egg, beaten

1 tspvanilla extract

1 cflour
-
1/2 cquick cooking oats

1 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

1 csemi-sweet chocolate chips
- ICING
-
1/2 cpowdered sugar

2 Tbspcreamy peanut butter

2 Tbspmilk
How To Make iced peanut butter bars

1Cream together butter, sugars, and peanut butter. Add beaten egg and vanilla. Mix well.

2Combine flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. Stir into creamed mixture.

3Spread into 13x9 greased baking pan. Batter will be thick. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.

4Bake for 20-25 minutes in 350 degree oven or until lightly browned (underdone is better). Cool 10 minutes Combine icing ingredients and drizzle over bars.
