This was a Christmas favorite when I was a kid. We loved to help Mom roll them in sugar.

Ingredients For honey date bars

1 choney

3well beaten eggs

1 tspvanilla

1 1/3 cflour
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
2 pkg(14 ounces each) pitted dates - cup up

1 cchopped walnuts
-
powdered sugar to roll cookies in
How To Make honey date bars

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix honey, eggs and vanilla, beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients, dates and nuts. Spread in greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.

2Bake in moderate oven - 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Cool in pan.

3When cool cut in 1 x 3 inch bars and roll in sugar.
