How To Make home baked vanilla waffers

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

2Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light in color and fluffy about 5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla continue to beat until incorporated.

3Add dry ingredients to butter mixture a little at a time and mix on low speed until well incorporated.

4Using a 1 teaspoon measuring spoon drop onto ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. The spacing is important because the cookies will spread and flatten. Bake 8 - 10 minutes until edges are light golden brown.

5When cookies are done, remove from oven and using a spatula transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool.
