holiday oatmeal cookies
This recipe was given to me by my sister. I made a few minor adjustments. The oatmeal cookies are bursting with fruit and nuts. They are absolutely delicious. They are nice soft and chewy. I made two batches of these to Freeze for Christmas.

Ingredients For holiday oatmeal cookies

1 call purpose flour

3/4 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

1 tspcinnnamon

1/2 cplus 2 tb butter

1/2 clight brown sugar
-
1/2 cgranulated sugar
-
1egg
-
1 tspvanilla
-
1 coatmeal
-
3/4 ccraisins or raisins

1 cchopped dried or candied pineapple
-
1/2 cchopped nuts walnuts or toasted pecans

2 ozchopped candied cherries
How To Make holiday oatmeal cookies

1Beat softened butter and sugars together in a bowl until smooth.

2Add in the eggs and vanilla. Mix well and set aside.

3In another bowl. Whisk together baking soda, salt, flour and cinnamon together.

4Mix flour mixture with the sugar butter mixture. Mix well to combine.

5Add oatmeal, fruit and nuts. Mix well. ( optional refrigerate dough for one hour prior to baking)

6Drop by tablespoons onto parchment lined sheet pan.

7Bake at 350 degree’s bake 10-15 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Remove to wire rack to cool.
