2 call purpose flour

2 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

1/8 tspfresh ground black pepper

1 tspground cloves

2 tspground cinnamon

2 tspground ginger

1 cpacked brown sugar

3/4 ccanola oil

1/4 cmolasses
-
1large egg
-
2/3 cturbinado sugar
How To Make ginger snaps

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cover baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.

2In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, black pepper, ground cloves, ground cinnamon and ground ginger.

3In a large bowl mix brown sugar, oil, molasses and egg. Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture in three parts stirring just till combined between each part.

4Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Roll through the sugar. Place on prepared baking sheets; leaving 2 1/2 inches between each cookie. Bake for 10 -11 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before moving to cooling racks.
