I just love ginger snaps, they are a very good snack with milk tea or coffee. And of course sauerbraten just wouldn't be the same with out them. This recipe makes 4 dozen. Bake @ 350 for 10 minutes.

Ingredients For ginger snaps

3/4 cupshortenig
-
1 cupsugar or splenda
-
1/2 cupmolasses
-
1egg room temperature
-
2 cupall purpose flour
-
1/4 teasposalt
-
2 teasbaking soda
-
1 teascinnamon
-
1 teasground cloves
-
1 teasground ginger
- PREHEAT OVEN 350
How To Make ginger snaps

1cream shortening and sugar: add molasses and egg. Beat well.

2Mix all dry ingredients, add to wet. Mix well.

3Roll into balls and dip into sugar.

4Place 2 " apart on greased cookie sheet.

5Bake @ 350 for 10 minutes no longer. 4 doz.
