Ingredients For german chocolate bars

  • 1 box
    chocolate cake mix (without pudding)
  • 2
    egg
  • 1 stick
    melted butter
  • 1 c
    sweetened coconut
  • 1 c
    pecans, in pieces
  • 1 can
    sweetened consensed milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    milk chocolate chips

How To Make german chocolate bars

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2
    Combine cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. This will make a thick dough. Spread the dough in a generously greased 9x13 pan. Do NOT push dough up the sides.

    Bake the chocolate crust for 7 minutes at 350. While baking, mix together 1 egg, sweetened condensed milk, coconut, pecans, and vanilla.

    Spread the topping over the par-baked crust and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Place back in oven and bake for 25 more minutes, until top is golden brown!

    Allow to cool completely and cut into bars!
