This was the first recipe that my grandmother let me help make. It is still one of my favorites, even though I am now diabetic & have to watch what I eat. It is always a big hit when taken to parties.

4Recently, I replaced the cornflakes with Special K Cinnamon/Pecan and Honey Bunches of Oats w/Almonds. I am also pretty liberal with the coconut & nuts -- frequently use both walnuts & pecans. Also, used a combination of vanilla & almond extract. There is so much that you can do with this recipe to make it yours!
