2 1/4 csifted flour

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 cbutter, softened to room temp

1 1/4 cpacked brown sugar

2eggs
-
1/2 csour cream
-
1 tspvanilla extract

1 cdates, pitted and chopped

1 cpecans, chopped

1/2 cbutter*

1 1/2 cpowdered sugar*

4 Tbsphot water*
How To Make frosted date creams

1Heat oven to 375 degrees

2Sift together flour, baking soda and salt

3In a separate bowl cream together butter, brown sugar, eggs, sour cream and vanilla

4Blend in the dry mix

5Stir in dates and nuts

6Drop teaspoons onto cookie sheet and bake 10-14 minutes

7Frost Warm (see below for frosting directions)

8For Frosting: Brown 1/2 C butter, remove from heat. Add 1 1/2 C powdered sugar Add 3 to 4 Tablespoons hot water. Mix (reheat if needed) until smooth
