I found this on a bag of coconut. It is so good. Not too sweet. And oh so good with a cup of java.

Ingredients For dream bars

  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/2 c
    butter or margarine
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    coconut, flaked

How To Make dream bars

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Combine flour, 1/2 CUP brown sugar & butter until particles are fine; use low speed of mixer. Press into bottom of ungreased 13x9" pan. BAKE at 350 for 15 min.

    Beat the remaining 1 1/2 cup of brown sugar with eggs just until blended. Mix in remaining ingredients. Spread over partially baked crust.

    Bake 20 - 25 min., or until golden brown. Don't over bake. When cool, cut with sharp knife.
