I have to double this recipe for my Christmas plates. They are the white powdered round ones on the plate. Very rich and special for the Holidays! Been making them for years.

Ingredients For delectabite cookies

  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    finely chopped walnuts
  • powdered sugar

How To Make delectabite cookies

    Thoroughly mix butter, sugar and vanilla. Gradually stir in flour and finely, finely chopped walnuts. (I put them in my electric chopper) Chill at least 1/2 hour.

    Shape into marble sized balls. Bake in ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 15-17 min. until firm but not browned. While hot roll gently in powdered sugar, cool, sugar again. Makes 50 cookies I make them bigger than a marble, so I double the recipe to make more. (adjust the baking time as needed, should feel firm to touch)
