Ingredients For date-nut balls

  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 2 c
    finely ground pecans
  • 1 c
    dates, diced
  • about 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

How To Make date-nut balls

  • 1
    Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and dates. Chill 2 hours. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly browned. Roll in powdered sugar; Roll in powdered sugar again. Makes4 dozen.
