A version of this recipe has been used in our family for @ least 40 years perhaps longer. I shared this recipe with my brother during his bachelor days, & although he didn't cook, I showed him how to make this recipe, & it was the only thing he ever made & loved so much, that no matter who came to visit, he always had the ingredients to make this tasty dessert. To this day it is his favorite dessert, & I recently made a party size version for our Arkansas Family Reunion. Of course he always insists on having the 2% milk to wash it all down. Each Family gathering usually has this dessert.
