crunchy reese's surprise cookie cups

Made these up on a trial run for a bake sale at my church. Both my boy's love peanuts, peanut butter, & chocolate, so I figured why not combine all of them. The surprise is when you bite into the cup to find a mini Reese's hidden inside. =) They were a success! Hope you and your family will enjoy them too!

Ingredients For crunchy reese's surprise cookie cups

3/4 cgranulated sugar

3/4 cpacked brown sugar

1 cland o lakes real butter softened (2 sticks)

1 Tbspvanilla
-
1egg
-
2 1/4 call purpose flour
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
1 pinchsea salt
-
1 1/2 ccrushed honey roasted peanuts
-
1 pkghershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips
-
1 pkgreese's peanut butter chips
-
2 pkgreese's cups mini's (found in the checkout isle)

optional muffin cups if you don't have silicone cups.
How To Make crunchy reese's surprise cookie cups

1Sift flour, sugar, sea salt, & baking powder in a large bowl.

2Add in Brown sugar, softened butter, vanilla, & egg. Mix!

3Add in package of Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips. Mix!

4Line Muffin pan with either your silicone cups or paper muffin cups. If using paper, spray each cup with oil.

5Scoop a tablespoon full of batter and roll into a ball. Drop into a cup.

6Bake cookies for 15 minutes or until slightly soft in the middle and light brown on top.

7While cookie's are baking, melt the Reese's Peanut Butter Chips in a bowl in the microwave. Add in a 1/4 Teaspoon of butter to help make it smooth. Stir every 10 seconds.

8Push a mini Reese's cup into the middle of each cookie, leaving a shallow indentation.

9After the cookies have cooled for a few minutes, use a spoon or icing knife to smear the melted Reese's chips on top of the cookie.

10Sprinkle crushed Honey Roasted Peanuts on top of the melted Reese's chips. Let cool for a hour or until the Reese's on top has set up. Enjoy!!
