Ingredients For cranberry orange cookies

1 cbutter, softened

1 cwhite sugar

1/2 cpacked brown sugar

1egg

1 tspgrated orange zest (i always zest and dry when i get oranges)

2 Tbsporange juice

2 1/2 call-purpose flour

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

2 cchopped cranberries

1/2 cchopped walnuts
- ICING

1/2 tspgrated orange zest

3 Tbsporange juice

1 1/2 cconfectioners' sugar
How To Make cranberry orange cookies

1Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F

2In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg until well blended. Mix in 1 teaspoon orange zest and 2 tablespoons orange juice.

3In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the orange mixture. Mix in cranberries and walnuts, until evenly distributed.

4Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart.

5Bake for about 11-13 minutes until the edges are golden. Remove from cookie sheets and cool on wire racks.

6In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 teaspoon orange zest, 3 tablespoons orange juice and confectioners sugar until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
