How To Make cookie filled chocolate cookies

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper

2To make the chocolate cookie dough: In a small bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt together. Set aside.

3In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar and sugar until thoroughly combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add the flour mixture and beat until combined.

4To make the Chocolate chip cookie dough: In a small bowl, whisk together, flour, baking soda and salt together. Set aside.

5In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars together until combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture and beat until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

6Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, scoop out 1 tablespoon of the chocolate cookie dough and flatten to a disc shape.

7Scoop just a tad less than a tablespoon of the chocolate chip cookie dough and roll into a ball. Place it on top of the chocolate dough.

8Wrap chocolate dough around the chocolate chip cookie dough, making sure that the ball is completely covering in the chocolate dough.

9Place cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

10Bake for 18-20 minutes until the edges are starting to harden and the centers are puffy, Leave on baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring them to wire cooling rack. Allow cookies to completely cool before serving!

11The chocolate dough will be easier to work with if keep the dough chilled. Use Peanut Butter cookie dough instead of chocolate chip for a peanut-butter cup like cookie.
