Another Million dollar bar cookie. Chocolate and coconut, what more can you ask for. These taste fantastic. If you love Coconut bon bons of years past, your gonna love these. I cheated This recipe is with a pkg mix. Note: Prep time does not count chill time in refer.

Ingredients For "coconut bars"
- COOKIE CRUST

1pkg betty crocker double chocolate chunk cookie mix

1/4 Cveg. oil
-
2 TBSwater
- COOKIE FILLING

1/2 Cbutter (1 stick) softened

1 can(14oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 Tspvanilla extract or maple extract

6 Cpdr sgr

1 1/2 Ccoconut
-
1/2 Cfinely chopped pecans, or walnuts or almonds
- TOPPING

1/2 Cwhipping cream
-
1bag 12oz, choc chips (2 cups)

1/2 Cbutter, (not margarine)
How To Make "coconut bars"

1Heat oven @ 350 Mix in large bowl all cookie crust ingredients, to form soft ball. Press into bottom of ungreased 9X13 pan. Bake 12 min. COOL COMPLETELY.

2Meanwhile, in med bowl, Beat softened butter, milk,& Flavoring with electric mixer, on med speed til smooth. Gradually add Pdr sugar, blend till smooth. Stir in coconut, & nuts till well blended. Spread evenly over the cooled Cookie Crust. Cover and Chill 1 Hr or till filling is set.

3In a Non-Stick pan, Heat topping Ingredients, over Med-low Heat.Stir constantly, till melted and smooth.

4Pour topping over chilled coconut filling. Spread to cover well. Chill in refer 2 hrs, or till set.

5Before cutting into bars, let stand 10 min at room temp. cut 9 rows by 4 bars. Store covered in refer. ENJOY these are YUMMMY!!!
