How To Make christmas biscotti
-
1Preheat oven to 350' and spray a cookie sheet with butter flavored cooking spray (or whatever you like)
-
2Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add 3 eggs and vanilla and beat with an electric mixer on low speed until combined. Next mix in the cherries and the pecans.
-
3Once completley mixed, put dough out onto a floured cutting board and divide the dough in halves. Shape each half into the shape of a slender log. Mix the remaining egg up & brush over top of the dough....sprinkle the colored sugar over that and bake for about 35 minutes.
-
4Take out of the oven and place on a wire cooling rack...lower the oven to 325'...once cooled place on a clean cutting board and cut the logs into 1 inch diagonal pieces and lay them back onto the cookie sheet and bake for another 7 - 8 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Put on a wire cooling rack & cool completley....can be stored in an air tight container on the counter for about 1 week....
