This is even better than the usual wedding cake cookie recipe. I got this recipe back in the 1970's and have tinkered with it to make it perfect for my liking. It has been a favorite ever since.

Ingredients For chocolate wedding cakes
- MIX TOGETHER AND SET ASIDE:

1/2 cpowdered sugar

2 Tbspcocoa, unsweetened
- COOKIES:

1/2 cbutter, softened (no substitute)

3/4 ccake flour

1/4 csugar
-
1/3 ccocoa, unsweetened

1 tspvanilla extract
-
1/2 cfinely chopped pecans or walnuts

1/2 cmini chocolate chips
How To Make chocolate wedding cakes

1Mix together 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 2 T cocoa and set aside. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add flour and next 3 ingredients, beating until blended. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. (Dough will be stiff.) Shape into 1-inch balls, and place on ungreased baking sheets.

2Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove cookies to wire racks, and cool slightly. Roll warm cookies in the powdered sugar-cocoa mixture you set aside earlier, and cool completely on wire racks.
