Cookie? Brownie? Fudge? Kinda reminds me of all three...simple to make and oh so good!

Ingredients For chocolate shortbread

  • 1 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3 oz
    semisweet chocolate, melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour

How To Make chocolate shortbread

    Preheat oven to 300 F. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan

    Beat together butter and sugar until light and creamy. Beat in vanilla and melted chocolate
  • 3
    Stir in flour, gently mixing until blended

    Spread in prepared baking pan

    Bake for 40 - 45 minutes until the center is firm

    Cool in pan

    These are kind of rich, so I cut them into small bars, about 1 1/2 inches by 2 inches, so this recipe makes about 3 dozen bars.
