Another holiday favorite - frequently requested. I've substituted different flavors of jam, but raspberry seems to be the favorite.

How To Make chocolate raspberry bars
-
1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
-
2In a bowl, combine flour and confectioner's sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Press into a 9" square pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until browned.
-
3While crust is baking, melt white chocolate chips (I prefer the stove-top method, but you can melt them in the microwave, too.)
-
4Spread jam over warm crust.
-
5In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and milk until smooth. Add the melted vanilla chips and blend until smooth. Spread this mixture carefully over the jam layer. Cool completely. Chill until set, about 1 hour.
-
6Glaze: Melt the milk chocolate chips and shortening together, stirring frequently until smooth. Spread over the filling. Chill for 10 minutes, cut into bars, chill another hour. Store in refrigerator.
