If you love chocolate glazed doughnuts, you will love these cookies! You can change out the decoration for any holiday. This makes about two dozen. Enjoy!

Ingredients For "chocolate glazed donut" autumn cookies

  • 1 box
    cream cheese
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 pinch
    kosher salt
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • confectioners' sugar to roll
  • 24
    edible autumn decorations, (used candy corn mix)

How To Make "chocolate glazed donut" autumn cookies

    Cream sugars and butter. Then add egg and beat.

    Mix in cream cheese and vanilla. Blend well.

    Combine all dry ingredients (save decorations) in a separate bowl and mix.

    Then add a quarter at time, the dry ingredients. Blending between each addition.

    Refrigerate or freeze dough until stiff.

    Take dough and form into ball a little smaller than golf balls. Then roll in confectioners' sugar and place on greased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

    Remove from oven. Lightly press decoration into center of cookie. Then allow cookies to cool on cookie sheet.

    Remove and serve.
