I'm Hungry for something sweet chocolate chip cookies are always great when your sweet tooth is wanting a fix especially with a cold glass of milk

Ingredients For chocolate chip cookie cake

  • Cookiebase
    cooking spray
  • 8 Tbsp
    butter or margarine (1 stick)
  • 2/3 c
    packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    flour all purpose
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    plus 2 tbsp of semisweet chocolate chips
  • FOR THE FROSTING AND ASSEMBLY:
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter 1/2 stick
  • 2 Tbsp
    unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    plus 1 teaspoon milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    rainbow sprinkles or any

How To Make chocolate chip cookie cake

    Make cookie base place 1 stick butter in the bowl,let 4 Tbsp of butter on counter let sit 45 minutes for frosting (assume all butter has to be softened at room temperature )

    Arrange Rack in middle of the oven heat at 350' coat 1 9 inch round cake pan with cooking spray,line with parchment paper

    Add 2/3 cup packed brown sugar and 1/3 cup granulated sugar to bowl of butter beat until light and fluffy 2-3 Beat in 2 eggs one at a time add second then add 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract and beat until combined 1 minute

    Turn off mixer add 2 cup flour 1 tsp kosher salt or salt and 3/4 teaspoon baking soda beat on low speed until incorporated 1-2 minutes stir 1 cup of chocolate chips by hand

    Transfer the dough to baking pan & press into an even layer with your hands (if dough is too sticky, lightly coat your clean hands with cooking spray) sprinkle remaining 2 Tbsps of chocolate chips on top

    Bake until the top is lightly browned and no longer shiny 20-25 minutes place pan on wire rack to cool completely in the pan

    If desired make frosting place 4 Tbsps butter in clean bowl add 2Tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder 1tbsp plus 1 tsp milk and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract beat on low speed until smooth 2-3 minutes

    Add 1 cup of powdered sugar mix on low speed until combined 1-2 minutes, increase speed to high until frosting is light and fluffy and doubled in volume,scraping side of bowl halfway through, 1-2 minutes total,transfer icing to piping bag fitted with star tip or zip top bag and set aside.

    Assemble cookie cake: place cookie on serving plate or cake stand. Pipe small decorative mounds of frosting around edge of cookie.sprinkle the frosting and cookie with 2 Tbsps of Sprinkles (rainbow or any)
