Ingredients For chewy ginger snaps

1 csugar

3/4 coil or shortening

1egg
-
1/4 cmolasses

2 cflour, sifted

1 tspginger
-
1 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspnutmeg

2 tspbaking soda
-
1/2 tspsalt

extra sugar for rolling cookie balls in
- ***PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES***
How To Make chewy ginger snaps

1Mix sugar, oil, egg and molasses in mixer.

2Mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.

3Roll into little balls. Roll each ball in sugar. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool on cooling rack. (Note may need a little less time unless you like crispy cookies)
