Ingredients For chewy chocolate cookies
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT

1 1/4 cbutter, softened

2 cgranulated sugar

2eggs

2 tspreal vanilla extract

2 cusifted, all-purpose flour

3/4 ccocoa

1 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

1 cfinely chopped nuts (optional)
How To Make chewy chocolate cookies

1Cream butter and sugar in large mixer bowl. Add eggs and vanilla and blend well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts if desired. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 8-9 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE! Cookies will be soft and puffed up but will flatten upon cooling. Cool on cookie sheet to set, about 1 minute; remove to wire rack to cool completely. Yields about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
